TESTIMONIALS

“Before I finished one cup of coffee Adam managed to arm me with a dozen expert ideas for funding my future art and writing projects. His expertise is worth every drop!” -Gregory Sholette, Artist/Writer

“Adam Burnett makes grant writing into art. He is a mature and skilled writer who can turn nascent ideas into flesh and bone. He also has broad experience writing for both emerging art forms and established organizations and pursuing funds from both government and foundation sources – such that he can transition fluidly from one voice to another, from one request to another.” -Jennifer Wright Cook, Executive Director, The Field

“Adam is an experienced and thoughtful fundraiser/grant writer. He is personable and has precise and specific input concerning approaches to funders, and is responsive to the needs of the organization he is working with. His experience with funding organizations is invaluable. He has an excellent command of the language that funders expect, and he is able to present proposals to appropriate funders in a manner that is convincing and persuasive.” -Eric Heist, Director, Momenta Art

“By first listening carefully to my particular circumstances and needs, Adam was able to tailor his responses in ways that have specific relevance to my situation, avoiding generalizations that are available online or in a book. Drawing on his experience as a grant writer for various non-profits, he was able to clearly articulate which funders might be appropriate to an organization with our mission and budget. Lastly, I appreciate what I perceived to be an understanding and empathy for the hurdles that small non-profits face, and I plan to continue to solicit Adam’s realistic but encouraging advice as a means of support in facing these challenges.” -Peter Scott, Artist/Director, Carriage Trade

“I worked with Adam on several grant applications. He researched the guidelines and walked me through the entire process. He is a very intelligent and articulate writer. He understands each grant, so he asks the most relevant questions and writes the application clearly. It is also very pleasant to work with him because he is very patient and nice. And as an artist, I learned a lot fom looking at his work.” -Ira Eduardovna, Video Artist
