In the months after the 2016 elections, I wrote and toured this urgent work throughout the states between November 2016-February 2017 addressing resistance,  compassionate anarchy, and prompting a reconsideration of how we tell stories . Utilizing my drag/gender-fuck persona – Dolly Dali (a mashup of Dolly Parton and Salvador Dali) – I performed the work in a constellation of cities over these three months and rewrote the piece in the hours before each performance so as to address the most pressing concerns to the community in which I performed. In this way the work was not about mastering the craft, but allowing the form to be in service of others in a state of vulnerability.
